Requirement: James was a Mechanical Engineering & CAD graduate, running the Hydraulic department for an Engineering business but not utilising his design knowledge and skills. He knew he wanted to develop further and he had a profile on LinkedIn but hadn’t started actively looking for work elsewhere.
Outline: LinkedIn is just one of the tools we use when headhunting. We connected with James and told him about the role we had available. When he confirmed his interest, we arranged to meet. During the meeting we talked about James’ experience and discussed what he envisioned doing long-term. We were quick to submit James’ details to our client and arrange an interview.
Result: James prepared really well for his interview and had a great rapport with the Managing Director who interviewed him. We were able to offer James the post, negotiate his salary, and support him through the transition of handing in his notice and starting his new career path. James couldn’t be happier and his new company is delighted.
