A RECRUITMENT agency in Carlisle has forged a collaborative agreement with the business consultancy Coulson Associates to offer a one-stop shop for clients.
Jason Hodgson set up NXT Recruitment with his partner, Simon Glencross, in September, initially working from their home in Brampton Road. They opened an office at Pacific House, Parkhouse, in March.
Coulson Associates is a business development consultancy in Windermere, which has been trading since 2011.
The link-up will give NXT Recruitment a foothold in south Cumbria.
Mr Hodgson cut his teeth in the motor trade and worked for Riverside Recruitment in Carlisle before launching NXT.
He said: “Running my own business was always something that I wanted to do. Recruitment agencies are generally thought of expensive. We’ve set out to offer a professional and trustworthy service for a lower price than our competitors.”
NXT charges a flat fee of 10 per cent of annual salary for permanent appointments, with a sliding scale depending on the length of contract and type of role for temporary staff.
It operates in northern England and south-west Scotland for the commercial, industrial, energy and logistics sectors.
Mr Hodgson added: “The opportunity to work with Coulson Associates, who share our values, represents an exciting development for NXT Recruitment and our continued growth.
“This collaboration will also allow us to develop and expand our client base in the south of the county and beyond.”
Coulson Associates’ assists organisations with business development, client management and consultancy services.
Its director, Sue Coulson, said: “The collaboration presents an opportunity for both businesses. I was really struck by the quality of the service provided by NXT and instantly knew they shared the same ethos and values as Coulson Associates. It’s a fantastic move forward in strengthening and enhancing our current solutions.”
