HR Advisor

Hours: 37.5 Hrs. Flexible/Hybrid Working

The role: 
To support the HR Team and the wider Team of employees with all HR and people-related activity by providing a customer-focused HR service which is efficient, professional and fits the needs of their people & business objectives. This will include delivering advice and guidance to managers and employees on the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement, utilising the HR system to provide data in support of decision-making and prioritising, supporting the Payroll service, and contributing to a positive and supportive organisational culture. 
 
Qualifications 

  • Appropriate recognised HR qualification – CIPD Level 5 or working towards 
  • CIPD Associate Status or willing to work towards 

 Experience 

  • Experience of HR delivery of generalist operational service that enhances the employee experience and helps improve business performance 
  • Experience and understanding of HR policies and procedures, creating, updating and maintaining, to match the company and employee needs 
  • Experience of generating reports, analysing, highlighting trends and risks as appropriate. 
  • Experience or understanding of managing HR payroll needs to match the needs of the business in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Experience of computerised HR systems, use of these and also guidance to managers and employees as required. 
  • Experience of working within HR within a unionised environment 
  • Able to demonstrate ability to comply with the Data Protection and information security 

 
Skill/Attributes

  • Good oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with a wide range of audiences. 
  • Ability to consider and understand effective HR people plans in pursuit of goals and work within them 
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, providing excellent work in a pressurised environment 
  • Effective interpersonal and organisation skills 
  • Appreciation of how to work at the public/private/community/regulatory interface. 
  • Ability to contribute to the management of corporate budgets/finances, projects, and programmes of work
