NXT is proud to be working in partnership with an international manufacturer as we recruit for a Senior IT Support Officer.

Hours: Permanent position full time 36.25 hours per week 9am – 5pm
Salary: Experience dependent
The role:
To provide customer-focused support services to all users of IT Technology within the company. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established organization, supporting its IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth technology operations across all departments.
Key aspects:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing customer-facing support and solutions.
• Deliver technical support for IT service requests logged by a user via the IT Service Desk, phone, email, or a colleague.
• Ensure a proactive and responsive service to all IT users, demonstrating good communication skills throughout the process.
• Provide support for Microsoft operating systems
• Support client devices, such as PCs, laptops, smartphones, and printers.
• Design / build / deploy / support / administer Physical Hosts, Virtual Servers, Network Switches, Access Points, SAN, Firewall, Routers, PABX, UPS
• Ensure all hardware and software assets are maintained and kept up to date on the asset register.
• Collaborate with IT Operations Manager to ensure consistencies in systems implemented and support to the business
• Arrange external technical support for issues that cannot be resolved in-house.
• Procurement of IT Hardware, Software and Services
• Daily Management of IT support staff
Requirements:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Effective prioritisation, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance on-site.
• Maintain a professional personal and company image.
• Excellent proficiency with VMware vSphere
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience in a 1st and 2nd Line IT Support environment
• Experience in Exchange and Azure Entra
• Experience with Wintel
• Experience in MS SQL Server
• Experience in Cisco Meraki Firewall, Cisco WIFI, HPE Proliant Hosts, HPE AlletraSAN, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching
• Experience in CyberArk Identity, WorkspaceONE for MDM on Android and iOS
