NXT Recruitment is supporting a well-established and highly respected accountancy and business advisory firm in the North to recruit a Business Services Senior.

The Role
As a Business Services Senior, you will join an experienced Business Services team supporting a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. The role will involve hands-on preparation work, supporting managers with compliance and reporting, and maintaining strong working relationships with clients.
This position can be based in either Carlisle or Penrith and includes working with a specialist client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies for review
• Preparing draft business tax computations
• Preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments and management accounts
• Assisting with the filing of financial statements and corporate tax returns
• Liaising with Managers and Assistant Managers, raising queries where appropriate
• Supporting the team to ensure deadlines are met and service standards maintained
About You
• AAT, ICAS, ACA or ACCA qualified
• Experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience working with agriculture-focused clients is desirable, or an interest in supporting clients within this sector
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Able to prioritise workloads and work to strict deadlines
• A proactive team player who takes pride in delivering quality work
