Hours: Full-time or Part-time, and hybrid working available

NXT is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Advisor to join our client’s positive and inclusive team. The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to both employees and management. This role requires a deep understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The HR Advisor will play a key role in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and other HR functions to ensure the organisation maintains a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities will include:
 

  • Being the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, issues, and concerns
  • Providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Conducting investigations into employee complaints or conflicts and recommending appropriate actions for resolution
  • Monitoring and addressing issues related to employee morale, engagement, and workplace culture
  • Supporting the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning
  • Coaching managers on performance-related issues and guide performance improvement plans
  • Track and analyse performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Assisting with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and interviewing
  • Coordinating new hire onboarding activities, including orientation sessions and paperwork completion
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
  • Preparing and distributing HR-related documents, such as offer letters, contracts, and policies
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Monitor changes in legislation and proactively recommend updates to HR policies and practices

Skills & Experience:

  • CIPD qualification or Human Resources degree preferred, but we are keen to speak with those “qualified by experience” too
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar HR role
  • Thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
