We’re recruiting an Internal Sales Advisor to join a well-established and growing business in Carlisle. This is a great opportunity for someone confident, customer focused, and organised, who enjoys building relationships and providing a high-quality service.

Working as part of an experienced sales office team, you will support customers, external sales colleagues, and the wider business with order management, enquiries, and day-to-day administration.

Key responsibilities:
• Handle incoming calls professionally and respond to customer enquiries promptly
• Build strong working relationships with customers and the external sales team
• Accurately input and process customer orders, including verbal orders
• Maximise opportunities through upselling and cross-selling where appropriate
• Liaise closely with the external sales team regarding queries, special orders, and customer expectations
• Refer export and intercompany queries to the relevant internal sales or senior managers
• Use internal systems to process orders, update delivery instructions, and maintain accurate records
• Work in partnership with warehouse and operations teams to track orders, manage changes, and resolve issues
• Assist with technical, delivery, or miscellaneous queries within your area of responsibility
• Develop and maintain strong product knowledge and identify areas where further training is needed
• Proactively contact customers to secure orders or share information about products and promotions
• Build positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and visitors

About you:
• Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Customer-focused with a positive, friendly approach
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Able to manage your own workload effectively
• Ideally have access to your own transport due to the location
