NXT Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Local Business Manager on behalf of a well-established and growing automotive business based in Carlisle.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful Commercial Vehicle Sales team, focused on building strong relationships with local businesses and helping customers find the right commercial vehicle solutions to support their operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.
This position would suit someone with previous sales experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to business development. Experience within the automotive sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, plus every second Saturday.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses
Identifying and developing new commercial sales opportunities
Managing the full customer journey from enquiry through to vehicle delivery
Providing expert product knowledge and tailored vehicle solutions
Creating quotations and managing customer orders accurately
Working alongside the marketing team to promote stock across social media platforms
Updating vehicle stock across partner websites and internal systems
Negotiating and securing sales opportunities
Delivering excellent customer service at every stage of the sales process
Maintaining accurate records using CRM systems and internal databases
What will you bring?
Confident, friendly, and professional communication skills
Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities
A proactive and motivated approach to sales and business development
Good IT skills across email, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage workload effectively within a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational and customer service skills
Previous automotive sales experience would be advantageous but is not essential
A positive attitude with the drive to achieve targets and grow accounts
Full UK driving licence essential
