Purchasing Administrator

The Opportunity

NXT Recruitment is working with a well-established local business to recruit a Purchasing Administrator to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to play a key role in supporting purchasing operations, maintaining stock levels and ensuring materials are available to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain stock levels to meet production requirements.

• Process purchase orders in line with stock requirements and forward demand.

• Coordinate and expedite supplier deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time.

• Monitor supplier performance and help maintain high service standards.

• Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant administrative tasks.

• Record incoming deliveries and assist with any related accounts queries.

• Support stocktaking activities and ensure stock information remains accurate.

• Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team and cover departmental duties when required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Ideally, you will have:

• GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.

• Good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.

• A reliable, methodical approach to work and the ability to work as part of a team.

Previous experience in purchasing, stock control or administration would be advantageous.
