Location: Carlisle
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Starting Salary: £30,000 per year

NXT Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing and supply business in Carlisle to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator.

This is a key operational role responsible for planning, coordination and supply management within a busy and fast-moving environment. You will play a central part in ensuring materials are delivered efficiently, on time and in line with operational demand.

The Role
As Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning deliveries, monitoring stock flow and liaising with suppliers and transport providers to ensure daily operational targets are met. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute delivery schedules using internal planning systems
• Monitor supply levels to ensure daily quotas and operational requirements are achieved
• Liaise daily with hauliers and third-party providers regarding deliveries
• Track deliveries and monitor OTIF performance
• Communicate delays or issues to operational teams promptly
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure stock availability
• Support haulage tender processes where required
• Assist in developing and improving supply chain systems and processes
• Set up and monitor supply contracts
• Maintain accurate records, reporting and data analysis
• Support quality monitoring procedures and compliance standards

About You
• Previous experience within a supply chain, logistics or planning role
• Experience scheduling suppliers or hauliers and managing inventory
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good geographical awareness
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages and planning systems
• Analytical and numerically confident
• Commercial, safety and environmental awareness
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable
• Experience within a production, manufacturing or resource-based environment
• Understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations
