Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday
Salary: £18,000 – £25,000, experience dependant
Location: Penrith

NXT are working with a well-established house property company based in Penrith with coverage across Cumbria. They are looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor who can grow with the business and assist the Commercial Manager with all aspects of housing projects.

Responsibility:

  • Assist and review tender documents and ensure a streamline process
  • Communicate with sub-contractors and other departments
  • Efficient and timely administration
  • Support and assist the Commercial Manager
  • Prepare, compile and update specifications
  • Ensure quality management information is in line with business requirements
  • Assist with delivery of deadlines across projects
  • Monitor and report on sub-contractor performance
  • Ensure the business plan is being met to a high standard

Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of house building industry is desired
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Professional approach at all times
  • A-Levels or BTEC equivalent
  • Driving Licence required
