Location: Carlisle
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:15pm, every other Saturday
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year + £1,000 sign-on bonus
We are recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join a busy and successful dealership in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to lead a workshop team, ensuring high standards of service, efficiency, and customer care.
You will be responsible for organising technician workloads, supporting the team to achieve targets, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the workshop.
Key responsibilities:
- Organise technician workload to maximise efficiency and quality of work
- Motivate and support the team to achieve daily goals
- Liaise with the parts department to ensure jobs are completed on time
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure warranty compliance
- Road test vehicles and assist with resolving customer queries
- Uphold high standards in safety, service, and customer satisfaction
Skills:
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in a franchised dealership is essential
- Previous workshop control experience or 3+ years in service desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to bring out the best in others
- Confident decision-maker who works well under pressure
- Basic IT skills for reporting and communication
- Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships
