Learning more about James’ skills and ambitions
After seeing an advert for a Sales Negotiator role, James contacted NXT recruitment consultant Amy. Immediately, Amy arranged a meeting with James to understand his employment background and skillset.
After meeting with James, Amy identified that although James had no sales experience, he had several transferrable skills which would make him suitable for the Sales Negotiator role. Amy reviewed James’ CV, created a candidate profile highlighting his transferrable skills and how these skills would make him a suitable candidate for the role.
A successful interview
Within a few days, James had been offered an interview with our client for the Sales Negotiator Role.
James prepared well for the interview, researching the company, and preparing questions related to the role. Amy also communicated with James via email to ensure he had all the information he needed in terms of directions of how to get to the to the client, the type of questions he can expect to be asked in the interview and how his transferrable skills would be suitable for the role.
James’ interview was very successful and despite not having any direct experience for the role, our client quickly recognised James’ potential and felt he would be a great cultural fit for the company. They offered James the position immediately, which he was delighted to accept.
