After working in a temporary security role, Luke started his job search when his temporary contract came to an end. He was looking to return to employment as soon as possible. NXT Recruitment Consultant Amy made contact with Luke after viewing his CV on Total Jobs.
The first steps in finding the perfect role
Amy arranged a relaxed, informal chat with Luke. This helped Amy understand Luke’s strengths, motivations, and skills and to identify positions that may be suitable for him.
Amy was impressed with Luke’s work ethic, employment experience and she knew of just the opportunity that would align with his skills and personality. Amy identified a temp – perm security role which she believed Luke would be suitable for and created a candidate profile to send over to the client along with Luke’s CV.
Ticking all the right boxes
Luke was immediately successful in securing an interview for the Security Guard role. Working together with Amy, Luke prepared for the interview by reviewing his skills, previous security experience and enthusiasm to return to work.
Following the interview, the client was impressed by Luke’s depth of security experience and was certain they could find an opportunity for him. Luke’s personality and ethos aligned with their company values – they wanted him within their team!
Although the Security Guard role Luke was originally put forward for was still vacant, the client created a new and exciting role to fit Luke’s skills and experience to ensure the role would meet and fulfil his needs. They also changed the role from a temp to perm position to a permanent position.
With such a positive feeling about the organisation, and Amy with a hunch that this role was perfect for Luke, both were over the moon when the job offer came in – securing full-time, permanent employment for Luke after being out of work for a few short weeks!
