How can NXT help me find my next role?

Searching for a new career or getting back into work can be a daunting prospect.

At NXT, whatever your situation, we can offer you free career advice that can range from reviewing and helping with your CV, providing interview techniques and preparation, to simply discussing your strengths and skills.

We can also offer advice on the areas you may want to consider or focus upon, and the types of opportunities that might be available to you. We can talk to you about prime employers in the area and if relocating, we can discuss the different parts of Cumbria, the opportunities they present, and which may be best suited to you.

We aren’t just here to fill vacancies, we do more. We work with you to match you with a workplace culture where you will flourish, rather than simply placing you where your skill set fits the bill.

Why do I need to register?

At NXT we like to meet you, we meet all our candidates in person for a relaxed, informal coffee and a chat prior to you being put forward for any positions.

It’s important for us to get to know you, your strengths, motivations and what makes you tick. This helps us to identify and talk to you about suitable positions based upon your skill set. If a face-to-face meeting is not possible, virtual meetings are also an option.

We also use the meeting to gather all personal identification and right to work documentation that’s required before we can consider you for potential roles.

All candidates can register to receive email job alerts and create an online profile. Your online profile allows you to provide information about yourself, detail your career path to date, your future aspirations, as well as providing NXT and prospective employers with a personalised introduction to you.

What happens once I’ve registered?

Once you’ve registered with us, we provide a personal service and we are available in our office or at the other end of a phone.

We will create a Personal Profile for you which will be sent to clients along with your CV. This helps highlight why we feel you are suitable for a particular role and provides clients with key information about you. If selected, you will then be invited to an interview with the company directly.

From your NXT Profile page you can put yourself forward for any positions that may be of interest to you and you will also be able to monitor the status of any applications you have made.

You can be assured of complete confidentiality at every stage; your details will never be passed to a prospective employer without your agreement.
